Publication Policies

Journal Fees

The International Journal of Economic Studies follows an Open Access policy, providing readers and academic institutions worldwide with free access to published articles, including the ability to view, download, print, and share the content without financial restrictions. This policy contributes to increasing the dissemination of scholarly research and enhancing the visibility and citation impact of authors' work.

To ensure the sustainability of these services and maintain high publication standards, the journal applies Article Processing Charges (APCs) according to the following provisions:

General Financial Policy

Free Submission: The journal does not charge any fees for submitting or uploading manuscripts through the online submission platform.

Fixed Fee: No additional charges are imposed based on the number of pages or the use of color in the article (black and white or color).

Payment Obligation: An Article Processing Charge of EUR 100 becomes due immediately and is payable after the manuscript has received final acceptance and has successfully completed the screening and peer-review processes.

Article Processing Charge (APC) Coverage

The fees collected are directly allocated to the academic and technical management of the article and cover the following services:

  • Peer Review and Editorial Processing: Management of the double-blind peer-review process and manuscript preparation and coordination.

  • Technical Hosting and Maintenance: Provision and maintenance of servers and management of the journal's website to ensure continuous access to published content.

  • Digital Object Identifier (DOI): Assignment of a permanent DOI and unique identifier to each research article to facilitate scholarly referencing and citation.

  • Complimentary Academic Documentation: Issuance of official acceptance letters and certified publication certificates to support researchers' professional and academic records.

  • International Indexing: Submission and dissemination of articles to recognized international academic databases and services, including Google Scholar.

  • Academic Integrity Screening: Manuscripts are screened for similarity using the international Quetext software, and authors are provided with a detailed report.

  • Open Access: Conversion and publication of content in a fully accessible digital format, freely available to the intended readership.

  • Long-Term Digital Preservation: Preservation of published articles through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which uses the LOCKSS preservation technology to support long-term access and data recovery.

  • Academic Promotion: Promotion of published articles through relevant academic channels to increase their visibility and potential scholarly impact.

Waiver and Financial Support Policy

In support of knowledge dissemination and equal opportunities in academic research, the journal provides the following forms of financial assistance:

Full or Partial Waivers: Waivers may be granted to researchers affiliated with low-income countries, according to the World Bank classification.

Support for Independent Researchers: Researchers who do not receive financial support from their academic institutions or funding organizations may apply for a reduction or waiver of the applicable fees.

Application Procedure: Authors must submit a justified waiver request to the Editorial Board during the initial manuscript submission stage and not after the manuscript has been accepted.

Authors may pay the applicable fees through the following approved channels:

  • Direct bank transfer.

  • International money transfer services: Western Union / MoneyGram / Xpress Money.

The journal is committed to protecting the intellectual and academic rights of authors in accordance with the following provisions:
