The International Journal of Economic Studies is a peer-reviewed international journal published by the Democratic Arab Center, Germany–Berlin. The journal is dedicated to publishing research in the field of economic sciences in Arabic, English, and French.

The journal aims to promote cooperation across all fields of economic sciences.

The journal is published quarterly and has an editorial board and an international scientific advisory board that oversee the peer-review process for submitted manuscripts.

The journal adopts a double-blind peer-review process.

The journal follows a code of ethics for scientific research and scholarly publishing, as well as regulations governing the peer-review process. The journal selects high-quality research that makes a meaningful scientific contribution to knowledge.

Authors are required to comply with the principles of publication ethics and to avoid plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct. In the event that plagiarism is detected, the journal takes the necessary measures in accordance with internationally recognized procedures. Any affected party or person who identifies suspected plagiarism may contact the journal directly for investigation and verification.

Open Access Policy

The journal adopts an Open Access Policy, whereby its content is made freely accessible to readers and researchers through immediate online access and downloading.

Conflict of Interest

The journal seeks to prevent any conflict of interest. Authors are therefore required to comply with the journal's publication requirements and must not submit the same manuscript to another journal while it is under consideration by the journal's editorial bodies.

Authors must also comply with the principles of research and publication ethics and disclose any potential conflict of interest between themselves and the institutions or organizations supporting their research. Any relevant conflict of interest must be disclosed to the journal at the time of manuscript submission.

Digital Archiving and Preservation

The journal seeks to distribute and preserve its content through a wide range of international academic libraries and indexing and database services in order to safeguard its articles and issues against loss or damage.

The journal also supports authors whose articles have been published in independently archiving their work in various recognized digital repositories.

Plagiarism Screening

The journal conducts plagiarism screening as part of its publication process. Manuscripts may be rejected in accordance with the journal's publication requirements when significant levels of plagiarism or academic misconduct are detected, in accordance with the standards and practices followed by international scholarly journals.

Submission Requirements and Guidelines

Authors must review the manuscript submission procedures and publication requirements before submitting their work and must comply with all relevant guidelines.

Reviewer Selection and Confidentiality of Peer Review

Authors may not propose or appoint reviewers for their manuscripts. The editorial board has the sole authority to select and appoint reviewers in accordance with a strict confidentiality policy.

All parties involved in the peer-review process—including the Editor-in-Chief, editorial assistants, and reviewers—are required to maintain complete confidentiality throughout the review process.

If any breach of confidentiality or irregularity in the peer-review process is identified, the journal will take appropriate and decisive measures.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Team, Scientific Board, Reviewers, and Publisher

The editorial team, scientific board, reviewers, and publisher are responsible for maintaining confidentiality, avoiding conflicts of interest, and ensuring objectivity, impartiality, and accuracy in all tasks assigned to them throughout the publication process, from the initial submission of a manuscript through its final publication.

Article Formatting Responsibility

Authors are responsible for formatting their manuscripts in accordance with the journal's complete submission and formatting requirements.

The journal reserves the right to reject any manuscript that does not meet the required standards or comply with its publication policies. In such cases, the author will be notified so that they may retain the right to determine how and where to submit or publish their work.

Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

The journal assigns all published articles permanent Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through its registration with Crossref, ensuring stable scholarly referencing, persistent identification, discoverability, and ease of citation and tracking.
